Cryptoparty Ann Arbor: Understanding Phishing and Malware
When
Sunday February 16, 2020: 2:00pm to 4:00pm Add to Calendar / Add to Google Calendar
Where
Downtown Library: Secret Lab
Description
The most common threats your learners are likely to face online are links and files pretending to be something they’re not — in other words, phishing and malware. Defending against these sneaky hacking strategies is less about downloading new tools or software, and more about building up your awareness and understanding.
This workshop is based on a lesson from the Electronic Frontier Foundation's Security Education Companion and is in partnership with Cryptoparty Ann Arbor: a community of privacy-minded educators, techies, activists, and enthusiasts working to help reclaim privacy.
