CROUCHED AND READY: Rolling, wooded terrain spreads out in front of the skier who stands at the crest of The Caberfae, in the Manistee National Forest, 17 miles west of Cadillac. The 12 ski runs in this impressive winter sports development range from 800 to 3,000 feet in length, and cover every sort of terrain from steep, twisting trails to broad and gentle slopes. There are also facilities for tobogganing and snowshoeing.
