Do you like comics? Would you want to make your own? Anyone can do it, even if you think you cannot draw. Join us and professional cartoonist Carta Monir for this workshop to receive tips on making your own comics!
Comics come in a variety of shapes and sizes, from single panel drawings, to comic strips, and expansive graphic novels. Whatever kind of comic you want to make, we can help you get started.
Carta Monir is the winner of the 2018 SPX Ignatz award for Outstanding Online Comic, for her work "Lara Croft Was My Family", as well as the winner of 2019's CXC Emerging Talent award. She owns and operates the Ann Arbor local micro-press "Diskette Press", that publishes several works by indie cartoonists and zine creators.
