Description
Join Mary Henderson, professional genealogist with Genetic Genealogy Research, LLC, for a beginner workshop in the Library's computer training lab. Mary will guide attendees through the process of starting a family tree and provide tips on researching and building a family tree over time. Discussion topics will include basic family tree charts, family tree software, and online genealogy databases. Questions from participants are welcomed, so come prepared!
Mary Henderson has 45+ years of experience with traditional, document-based genealogy, and 7+ years of experience with genetic genealogy. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, and is a member of, and serves as Treasurer of, the Genealogical Society of Washtenaw County.
Library staff will be on hand to provide basic computer assistance. Beginners are welcome.
