Description

Due to circumstances beyond our control, this event has been canceled. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Between 1942 and 1944, the Dutch-Paris escape line rescued 3,000 Jews, resisters, and downed Allied aviators from the Nazi Occupation. The 330 men and women in the line lived in different countries, spoke different languages, and came from different social and religious backgrounds. The only thing they had in common was a determination to resist the Nazis without violence by rescuing their victims. They found hiding places, escorted fugitives across Occupied Europe, bought food on the black market, served as clandestine couriers, and found creative ways to pay for it all.

This presentation is by Megan Koreman, author of The Escape Line: How the Ordinary Heroes of Dutch-Paris Resisted the Nazi Occupation of Western Europe. This event includes a signing with books for sale.
