Description
Enjoy this special Black History Month evening concert by The Motown Legends Gospel Choir, one of the most eminent gospel choirs in the Detroit metropolitan area. The choir, which consists of many past and present Motown artists, will also reflect on their favorite Motown memories.
The Motown Legends Gospel Choir is founded and directed by Albert Chisholm, lead singer for The Contours. This tight vocal ensemble has varied concert programs with many guest appearances including The Contours, EJ Johnson, (lead vocalist of Enchantment), The Original Vandella’s, and Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist, Joan Belgrave, among others. The choir performs with these and other legendary Motown Artists at prestigious concert halls and prominent historic churches across America.
Director and founder Albert Chisholm created this amazing ensemble in 2008 to touch the hearts & spirits of people across the world.
This event is part of AADL's Black History Month series.
