Duncan Tonatiuh is both an author and illustrator. His books focus on Mexican and Mexican-American culture. His artwork is reminiscent of Pre-Columbian art, especially that of the Mixtec codices. He finds inspiration in the past in order to create books for young readers that address art, history and topics like immigration and segregation. Come hear and meet Duncan at AADL!
