Races Fair Week
In order to make the fair a success, the committee thought it best to offer a num ber of speed premiums, and $412 was raised for this purpose. The following is the programme : WEDNEBDAY, SEPTEMBER 29. First Race- at 10:30, a. m. Best single mare or gelding, let premium, diploma and $8.00, 2d $5.00 .Seeond Race- at 1:15 p. m. Best troting stallion having made a season; lst premium, diploma and $10.00: second $6.00. Third Race- Best pair of trotting mares or geldings lst premium, diploma and $-.00; 2d, $5. Fourth Race- for horses which have never beaten 2:30- lst premium, $50.00; 2d $30.00; 3d $15.00; purse, $95. THÜRSDAY, SEPTEMBER 30. First Race - for horses owned in the county and which have never trotted a race. Five to enter, three to lst premium, $15.00; 2d, $10,00. $5.00; purse $30.00 F Second Race- for horses which have never oeatein three minutes. Four to enter, three to start lst premium, $20,00; 2d, $15.00; 3d, $10.00; purse $45.00 ERIDAY, OCTOBER 1. First Kace- free to all; four euter.türee to start; first premium, $75.00; 2d, $50 003d, $25; purse, $150.00.
