Aa extra session of the Wasuteuaw county poinological society was held Saturday, vice-presideut Baldwin presiding. Mr. EverettJfScott, chairman of the committce on reception aud entertainment, reported that he met with difliculty ld obtaining private lodginga for the members of the state society. He also stated the court-housc could be had for the meering of the state society. E. Buur, chairmau of the committee on music, reportcd that hc had been abseut from the city, but had informed all the chai ruien of the committees and some members of committees of thcir appoiutment and du tien; that he had seen Prof. Cady, the director of the school of music of the nniversity, who kindly oitered bis services for the entertainment of the society; also Miss C. L. Hugginu, a meinbcr of the faculty of the school of music, had expressed her willingness to assist. Dr. Conklin of the committee on fruit and fruit producís, reponed that every effort would be made by President Dorr, and other members of the committee to make a creditáble exhihit vf fruit and Fruit producís. Viee President Baldwin and Mr. Speace were addcd, o the committoe on receptioti and entertainment. The appointment of judge P. L. Page to deliver the address of welcome was made unaniraous. K. Baur reported the acceptancc of the office of cliinatology i}' Dr. AJezañder Wiucliell. The motion oí a vote of thanks to Dr. Coukliu for the exhibit of apple jeliy and the Preutiss grape, a white grape trom New York, prevaUed. Miss Sarah Fletehergave an interesting account of her prepáratlon of jelliea Whfcb had received the ftrst and second premiums at the state fair, and said she had uever failed in making jelly of anj fruit, wild or taiue, growing about Uere. The secrelury was instructed to give notice Of tlie unnual meeting to be held the iirst Baturdaj ín December.
