Description

The 1920s began with a high when women got the vote and ended with a low — the stock market collapsed. In between, The Jazz Singer and Steamboat Willie premiered, John Scopes and Mae West went on trial, and the World Series was broadcast on the radio for the first time. And a “lost generation” enjoyed petting parties while taking a jorum of skee and hoping not to pull a Daniel Boone. Wonder Bread, Girl Scout cookies, Kool-Aid, and Popsicles all made their first appearance during the decade. Learn about some darb recipes from the 1920s and hear about national and local history from historian/writer Patti Smith. Don’t be a wurp — come out and join us! No mazuma required — it’ll be berries!
