Lassie County got her chance today to mark up a "$" sign on the Cross that is being filled in as the Washtenaw County Red Cross drive progresses. Each "$" sign symbolizes $2,000 added to the fund. Laddie Ann Arbor got a rest, for no reports came in from city Red Cross solicitors over the week-end, probably because the workers were too busy gathering in the dollars. Ann arbor aims to raise at least $61,500 in this Red Cross campaign; the county outside the city is expected to raise at least $31,000 more, making a Washtenaw total of $92,500. Today's audited total stood at $10,973. Red Cross buttons are appearing on the clothing of more and more persons; Red Cross tickers are rapidly going up in windows. Each button and each sticker shows that the possessor is a part of the Red Cross, and is sharing in its noble work.
