Messrs. Scbuinaeher and Boylan spoke to a house full of people, at Lodi, Sunday ovening. Col. Sylvester Larued of Detroit, will address the club Sunday afternooii in the Unitarian church. Aid. Finney, of Detroit, has signified bis willinguess and accepted an invitntion to address the reform club sometime this month. Next Sunday meetings are to be held in Hamburg and at Wüilmore Lake, to be conducted by members of the Ann Albor reform club. Mrs. Mary Foster mustered sufflcient courage although the night was very cold, to go to Dexter last Sundiiy and talked to the boys on the temporáneo question. The union school temperance association celébrate their second anniversary to-morrow evening by au entertainment to be given in the opera house. The program comprizes, readings, recitations, tableaux, vocal and instrumental music. Everybody is invited to turn out and enjoy themselvcs. Admission only ten cents. Lafayette Hughes and Milo S. Ward, tho great teinperance reformers, are to give a series of meetings commencing on Wednesday next. The gentlemen come highly recommended by the clergymen of South Bend, Ind., and before leaving, the citizens of the place passed resolutions appreciative of their noble work in the interest of temporáneo. One of the most interesting temperance speeches that has been heard for some time was made by the Rev. Dr. Ryder, in the Unitarian church Sunday afternooa. He was of the opinión that much geod could be accomplished if the club could induce a number of the professors of the university to deliver a course of lectures on scientiflc and historical subjects. By this means the people would be induced to come out, and while they would be beneflted,the club would realize funds to further prosecute their work of reform.
