l'erby, son of E. Jones, is very sick witb erysipelas. Miss KiĆ¼ie Hoyt, of Blissfleld, spont vacation at home. Miss Minnie Sheldon,of Jackson, is visiting Miss Nellie Holmes. Frank Humplirey and wife, of Detroit, are spending the holldays in town. Miss Jessie Lawrence, of Oberlin college, is spending vacation at home. Mis. Elizabeth Bush feil downstairs on the 24th and received sevre injuries. Rev. E. Payson Hammond, M. A., and wife, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. 1?. P. Davcnport. Mr. YVard, of Indiana, and Chas. Jones of Ann Arbor, spokc in Union hall Snnday evening Christmas festivals were held at the Presbyterian, Baptist and Lutheran churches, Ohristmas eve. County Clerk Clark of Ann Avbor, was Santa Claus at the Presbyterian cliurch. Rev. E. Payson Hammond, and Dr. E. H. Griswold, began a series of religious meetings last Sabbath mornina: lo bc held all this week. at 9 a. m., 3 p. t., and 7 o'clock in the evening. The meetings are very interesting and draw immensely.
