Greenback County Convention

A convention of the grecnbackers of Wasutcnaw county was held in the courthouse last Saturday. Ja?. M. Forsyth, of Ypsilanti, was electcd chairman and Geo. Williams sccretary. The following delegatea ti represent the grecubackers in thestate conveDÜOB were elected by represenlative districls: First district- Jas. M. Forsyth, Ypsilanti; Jas. Doyle, York; Geo. Uaveuport,Saline; N. C. Putnam, Milan; Lewis Sherwood, Ypsilanti town; Simon II. Gay, York. Second district- D. I'. Kitrkey, W. K. Walker, Ann Arbor city ; N. B; Covert, Ann Arbor town; T. I). Lane, Win. Mur ray, Salem; T. Donovan, Norlhfield. Third district - Warren Kimble, A. Conklin, Manchester; C. F. Bates, Geo. A. Peters, Scio; E. A. Nordman, Lima; V. B. Osborn, Sharon. Horitio Burch, of Manchester, was unanimously elected delégate at large. As the greenbackers have no organ in this county it was thougut best to take steps to devise meaos for starting one, and a commiltee was appoioted by the ohair for that purpose. Judging from thesmallnumber present (only fifteen) we came to the conclusión that the party sbould have some kind of an " organ" to cali them together.
