The Clinton News gives tlie following notice of Albert Pulcipber, whose death at Clinton was recorded in TnE Democrat last week: Albert Pulcipher was )orn in Ann Arbor, August 2d, 1851, and was consequently 30 years and 10 days oíd when he died. IieniaicinR at bomt! and attending school until he had attaiued i fair educatiou in the high school, he went to Manchester in 1867 and went to work in the store of his únele, Geo. W. Doty Esq. He remaiued in thia work Eour years, and then went into the euiploy of John Peabody, a banker of Manchester. Mr. Pulciphtr continued in tuis position under Mr. Peabody and his successors, Hack & Schmid, about six months. When Alonzo Clark organized bis bank in Clinton, he engaged Mr. Pulcipher as cashier, a position which he has ably fllled ever siuce - about nine years. Of Albert Pulcipher"s life in Clinton, it is unuecessary to speak. Every one in tuis couimunity knows that it has been a remarkably virtuous and mauly life, without the staiu of any bad habits or prac;ices that so mar the lives of so many youngmen of the present generation. Everybody in Clinton knows that he has always taken a boU stand for temperancc and morality in our midst, and that his prácticos have ever been consistent Wlth his principies. He was a man who hated all shams nd deceit, who fetirlessly spoke his opinions, and who had tbe unusual habit of thinking and deciding on all questious for himself . His business relations and reputation were all of a most honorable and trustworthy character, and of his private life, its modesty and purity, his most intimate f riends can attest.
