The moveinent seemed mysterious, but flnally the errand of tbe visitors was learned. The carriage contained Dr. Boyntou, Internal Revenue Collector W. S. Streator and Mayor Berrick. Besides the undertakers tbey brought with them an elegant leaf bronze casket sent by the Maeonic burial case company Erom New York city. The casket in which the retnains repose was opened disdoBing the ucrecognizable features of thedead. The general condltioa of the body was found to be the same as when last expoaed to view in Washington. Within an hour the remains had been transferred to the new casket, which is an imperishable one, and, looking the vault, the party drove back to the city. For some reason tle conteniplated cuange was kept from the presd. Mrs. Qarfield came to the city from Mentor and saw the new casket in advance oí the transfer. Marvin, the bigainist and forger, has been sent to the penitentiary for 10 yeais at Richmond, Va.
