One great objection made (o the Humil ton block is that the people would be compelled to climb several steps to reach the office, and during a crowd ome one is liable to receive an injury by being throwu to the sidewalk, particularly during wet or icy times. In fact, the building is not adapted for in office, being insulticiently lighted. VVliereas if it goes to the öregory block nr the corner of Main and Aun streets, a fine building will be erected with a plate-glass front and marble floor. In other words it will be built with special reference for a postoffice, with entrances on two sides, and on the ground floor. If the office should go to the Ilarailtou block it would damage propcrty on Main Street to the amount of $150,000. Social last urenlng at the Episcopal church.
