The Newburyport, Mass., Herald""o] March 31, gives the followiug notice o] the marriage of Dr. Frederick Baker anc Miss C. LeB. Johnson. The former was a gradúate of the medical department o; the class of '80 and the latter of the class of '81. Both are well bnown here and the account will be read with interest by their mnny fiiends in Ann Arbor. A most reniarkable marriage occurrec at the residence of Charles E. Rogerson, brother-in-law of the bride, on Federa street in this city, on Thursday noon, when Frederick Baker, M. D., of Akron ühio, was united in wedlock with Charlotte LeBreton Johnson, M. D., of New The bride is a daughter ol Mrs. Caroline and the late Nicuolas John son, a gradúate of Vassar college and ol the medical department of the Michigan University, of Aun Albor, Mich., and a very bcautiful, acconiplished and amiable young lady. The bridegroom is a gradúate of Cornell Uuiversity and also of the same medical school as the bride. The nuptial ceremony was perforraed Ly Rev. Edward L. Brown, rector oí í?t. Paul's church, íq the beautiful and impressive form of the Episcopal service. The pair were raarried under the evergreen arch, enlivened by roses and piuks and calla lillies, and from the ceutre of the arch was suspended a marriage bell composed entirely of roses and carnation pinks, which with the alter bencath was excelled in beauty only by the bride herself. Our lady readers will be interested to know how the bride was dressed. She was simply attired ia a dress of cream white satin, triinmed with Duchessepoint lace, the front entirely puffed, one of Worths' Jatest desisns, with plain train. At her neck she wore oranje blossoms and an exqusite diamond pin the shape of a clover leaf. The dress was very beautiful and ertistic, and most appropriately set cft the lovely bride. Among the guest? were Richard 8. Spofford and Harriet Prescott Spofford, Mary N Prescott, Miss Dr. Cal!, of Boston; Rutherford B. Ilayes, jr., and several of the physicians of the city, and other fnends and invited guesls. Dr. Frederick Baker is in practice in Ak ron, Ohio, where the newly married pair will take up their residence. This is the iifth wedding in the same family within a few years, four daughters of Mrs. Johnson and a neice having been married during that time, the wedding receptions beïng at this house, and on eaeh occasion the brides were given away by John N. Cusuing, Esq. The wedding gifts to the bride on Tiiursday were numerous and costly, and tUe occasion was a very pleasanl ono. The pair started on tbeir wedding tour in the afternoon, and will return to Newburyport before they settle at their home in Ohio, and may happiness attend them.
