It appearing atisfactorily by affidavit to me that the defendant Henry E. Hopkins is a nonresident of this state, and resides in the city of New York, in the state of New York; on motion of JohnF.Lawrence, solicitor for the complainant it is ordered that the said defendant Henry E. Hopkins cause nis appearauce in this cause to be entered within four months from the date of this order, and that in case of his appearance he cause his answer to the complainauts bilí to be (lied, and a copy thereof to be served on the complainants solicitor within twenty days after service of a copy of said bill and, notice of this order, and in default thereor tliat the said bilí be taken as confessed by the said Henry E. Hopkins. Dated March 8, 1882. ■ MortgageSale. DEFAULT having been made in the payments of the principal and interest due on a certain mortgage bearing date October 27, 1868 executed by Charlotte D. Silkworth to J. Moreuu Smith, and recorded in the office oí the Register of Deedsforthe county of Washteuaw, stat j of Michigan, on November 2, 1868 in Liber 38 of niortgages on page 575. which mortgage waa duly assigned on January 13, 1872 to Ransom S. Smith by an assignment recorded Mareh 1, 1882, insaid Register's office in Liber 7, of assignments of mortgages on page 832 (which said mortgage is now owned by the estáte of said Ransom S. Smith, deceased) by which said default the power of sale contained in said mortgage has become operative. and no proceedings at law or in equity naving been instituted to recover the debt secured by said mortgage or any part thereof ; and there being now claimed to be due and unpaid upon the said mortgage and the note accompanying the same, the sum of two hundred and forty-seven dollars and sixty-two cents. Notice is therefore hereby given that said mortgage will be f oreclosed by a sale of the mortgaged premises or so much thereof as may be necessary to satisfy the amount claimed to be due on said mortgage, together with all other egal costs and expenses of sale, at public sale or vendue to thehighest bidder at the east front door of the court house in the city of Ann Arbor, county of Washtenaw and state of Michigan (that being the place f or holding the circuit court for said county) on Wednesday the seventh day of June 1882 at ten o'clock in the forenoon of that day (subject to a prior mortgage recorded in Liber 35 of mortgages on page 508 in said Kegister's office) which said premises are described as follows: All the following described lands situated in the town of Sharon, Washteïiaw county and state of Michigan, being the east third of the north east quarter of the south west quarter of section number thirty-four in township number three south of range three east, commt-ncin? at the center of section thirty-four aforesaiü running thenc west on the quarter line to land owned by Josiah R.
