Health in Michigan. Beports to the State Board of Health, Lansing, by 57 observers of diseases in different parts of the State, show lead ing causes of sickness during the week ending April 28, to have been Neuralgia, Intermittent fever, Rheumatism, Consumption, of lungs and throat diseases. The reports indicate that cerebrospinal meningitis, dysentery, bronchitis, erysipilas and pneumonia decreased in area of prevalence. There was no marked increase of any diseaae reported. At the State Capital, the prevailing winds were northeast; the average perature was lower, the average abso lute and average relative humidity, and the average day and night ozone were less, than for the preceding week. Including reporta by regular observers, and by others, diphtheria was reported present during the week ending April 24, and since, at 20 places, 1 let fever at 12 places, measles at 11 places, and small-pox at 9 pöices as folio ws: at Plainwell, Allegan Co., April 24; in Big Prairie township, Newaygo Co., April 26; in Everett townslüp, Newaygo Co., April 28; at ] Flint, April 29; at Manistee, April 30; at Grand Rapids (one new case), May 4, and it is unofflcially reported that there are two new caaes of small-pox at Menominee.
