Hope, near Table Mountain, the clouds come down very low now and Uien without dropping rain. At such a timo if a traveller should go under a tree for shelter from the tlueatening storm, he would flnd hiiuself in a drenching sliower, while out in the open air,away from any tree or shrub everything would be as dry as a bone! The cloud or mist is rather wanner than the leaves, you see, and so, when it touches (hem, it changos into cliuging drops, whicn look like dew. Freah drops keop forming; they run together; and, at length, the water drips off tho leaves like rain. And this process goes on until the clouds lift and the sun comes out again. - St. Nicholas.
