Fi ve hundred dollars for a week's session of the board of supervisors. Second. A delay in each claimant's case of from three to ritteen months for labor or material done or furnished, in getting his pay, and the trouble of going or seuding two or three times for his warrant. Third. A large amount in the sums paid by the county, because a board so oonstituted would soon come to know what is a proper charge for certain vices, and be able to treat eacli claiinant with equal and exact justioe; while the oommittoe upon claims, as now made up, consumes half the session in becoming familiar with their duties, and are then seldom satistied with theinselves. - [Saline Observer.
