The regenta meet October 10. B. F. Colé has our thanks for a basket of fine peaches. Miss Percilla Randall was married Tuesday afternoon to Charles Winslow. Miss Lottie Millard has accepted a position as teacher in a school at Milan. Miss Anna Freoff has returned from Wayne, where she has been spending a few weeks. A milliner from Manchester will occupy that part of the store vacated by Winans & Stafford. Kev. John Alabaster preached his farewell sermón Sunday morning. He will now probably go to New York to discourse. 'Squire Winegar this week sent to a friend in Roche3ter, N. Y., a boquet of dahlies containiug thirty-eight different varieties, raised by himself. Miss Marian Brown, for some time past a teacher in the third ward school, was married last night to Charles Van Geason, of Texas. The ceremony took piase at Clyde. The residence of Thomas Wallace, in Northfield, was damaged by fire last week to the amount of $100. Mr. Wallace was threshing at the time, and the men saved the building.
