Lansing, Miel)., Sept., 14. - The erop reporta received at the office of the secretary of state show, so far as known, therehas been 11865,322 bushels of wheat threshed in the four southern tiers of counties, and showing an average of 7% bushels per acre. The oat erop is probably oce of the best ever grown in the state. Yield so far about 31 bushels to iho acre. Corn, though very late, promises an average erop. The estimate for barley is the same as in August, 20 bushels p9racre. Meadowa and pastures, and clover sowed this year, are in excellence condition. Beef cattle and sheep are in better flesh tlian on September 1, 1881. In the central, southeattern and southwestern parta of the state winter apples promise from one-third to one-half, and in the northern counties about eight-tenths of an average erop. The average for the state is 55. Late peaches promise six-tenths of an average erop.
