Owens company will put up at the St. James. Be sure and attend the oomity fair. Great attractiona. O. Maok has been to N. Y., whero he purchased a stock of goods. A $1,000 barn and contenta, owned by Wm. Van Sickle of Saleru, burned last weak. Folger bas boen nominated by the re publicans of New York for governor. His defeat is sure. The Y. P. S. of the Presbyterian church, will give a social Saturday evening at Mrs. Hyde's residence. Aid. Dow continúes to improve the streets by graveling. He is the right man in the right place. The Cook and St. James hotels were crowded last night, and many persons who desired beds were obliged to walk ;he streets. A check covering eneampment exjenses of company A., will probably be received by Capt. Manly to-morrow, and he boys will probably get their pay Honday evening. Mrs. A. A. Gregory, wife of ex-supervisor Gregory, died this morning after a long and severe illness, aged 60 years. She was bom in Ellecottville, N. Y., and carne o this city 15 years ago. She was an exemplary Christian woman, and had many fricnds in the community.
