At a dinner at Point Shirley the other day each píate bore as an individual card a beautiful pearl clam shell, handpaiDted in most artistic fashion, and a wine-glass bouquet, of which the central feature was a tiny sunilower, surrounded by cboice blossoms and greenery. The menu cards, mounted on panels of silk pluah, were elaborately decorated by hand in colors. At a small family party a few weeks since the floral decorations were very elabórate and the menu cards were marvels of beauty. Jiach lady's "card" was an elegant fan of white satin, on the ivory sticks of which her name was painted, while the bill of fare was painted on the satin, and adorned with ropresentations of birds and flowers. The gentlemen's cards were equally handsome, being in the form of a silk plush bound book, the guest's name in solid silver letters adorning the cover. At another dinner upland plover, dough-birds, the most expensive and rarest of tidbitsforepicures, hurnmingbirds from Wilrnington, Del., turbot, 'king of the sea," as he is aptly naraed, Spanish mackerel, bonito, weakflsh, soft crabs, and many other choiee denizens of sea and air were served.
