A short time ago he purchased a email tract adjoining, giving him in a solid body 660 acre3, All of the tract is high, rolling prarie with the exception of about seventy-flve acres, wliich lies ou a little creek called Elm, and upon which there is a siig'ut grovlh of tiruber. The entire tract is enclosed with a barbed wire f ence, and there are numerous cios3 f enees. Five huudred and llfty acres are set in blue grass, and the remainder of the tract, exceptiüg the timber land, is what farmers term plough land. Theio are two ordinary tenant houses on tlie tract, but the General, on his recent visit, gave orders to have a very rospectable frame house erected on a beautif ui site.
