-A western man has been telling some Philadelphiaiis how western eities grow. He sys he went cff into the mountains liunting, and, night coming on, he went to sleep in a tree to be out of reach of the wolves. He was awakened early next morning by some woikmen, who told him to get down and finish his nap on the court house steps, as they wanted to turn that tree into a flug-pole f ur the hotel acro3s the way. He got down and while rubïnng liis eyes was nearly run over by a street car and got lna f eet tangled in an electric ligbt wire.
