Again there is trouble at the university, and in connection therewith appears the names of certain men high in authority who havo usually been well to the front in almost every squabble that has arisen at this great institution for some years past. The story of the present trouble as learned by dilligent inqüiry is about as f ollows : A week ago Saturday it began to be noised about that a professor had aroused the indignation of various studentsby remarks before his classes detrimental to minieters and the Christian religión. On Monday this took form by the presentation of a formal complaint made by a student named Morgan and flled with President Angelí, the complaint charging Prof. Frothingham with having said things in a lecture or lectures bef oro his class, of the nature indicated above. The exact text of his alleged remarks have not been learned by the News representative. Prof. Angelí suggested to Mr. Morgan that his charges should be substantiated by other students, and there wer6 presented several who corroborated Mr. Morgan's statements. Prof. Frothingham was duly acquainted with what had been reported, and took the matter before his class on the ground that lie ■was not chargable -with such sentiments as had been attributed to him. The situation has alao been liberally disoussed pro and con by the medical faculty, and as usual there has been a rallying of forces on both sides of the question. Dr. Maclean is understood to side with Frothingham as of yore, and Dr. Dunster is on the other side. Mr. Morgan the complaining student, is a Congregational preacher from California, in good and regular standing among his people, and many prominent church people here have expressed their determination to stand by him and kco the case carried to an issue. gJAs President Angelí is himself a C gregational minister, hís conree is being watched with some interest, and there íb not a littlo curiosity to see whether he will push tho matter wluch now solely rcsts with him, or be dominated again 1 iv the inttnences that are alleged to have prevailed in some cases which have heretofore stirred the commuuity beneath the shadow of the domo of the
