Waiting Twenty Years For A Photograph

About twenty years ago :i party left a gold locket, inclosing a photograph, witli a photographer to have the picture retouched, and also an enlarged copy made froni it. The wark was done in due time, and awaited the cali of its owner. For these twenty years both the locket and the enlarged picture were kept safely, ready for delivery, although the party might reasonably have been given up for dead. A few days ago a lady entered the gallery and askecl for pher turned to a little receptado in which he keeps niatters of thatsort, and handed the lady what she wanted. Slie was a little older than sbc was twenty yeai's ago. The artist has a few more reminiscenees of the same sort awaiting owners, though noue were left so long as this one. Ainong them is a watcli seal that was left ■ with him ten or twèfve years ago. About two years afterwari.1 tho owner came into the gallery. saw that the work was done, and sau' he would eall again and get it. He has not callea yet. -
