Master Lawrence Sweeney gives an exhibition at the Palace to-morrow evening. On the same eveniug the Chequamegans will lead the grand maren on skatea. A benefit for the U. of M. base ball club will be held at the Paliicu Thursday eve. next, April 23. Thare will be a game of ball, races, and other sporte. Everybody should attend. Cline was badly beaten at the Palace on Friday evening by F. G. Ward of Ypsilanti, who flnished the three miles in 12 minutes and 27 sec . It ia claimed that Cline's victory in Ypsilanti on the Tuesday before was due to the fact that Ward's skate became unfastened, which delayed him quite a while. Amoug the graceful lady skaters at the Academy rink last evening, there were none who attracted more deserved attentiou for her elegant and easy movements than little Hable Gretton, a charming young miss of 13. She ia as sweet in her every day life elsewhere as upon rollers, and has many ardent admirers and friends among the best of our young society people. - Fort Wayne Daily News.
