The state museum has been enriohed by ihe contribution leceived frcm Miss Helen S. Norton of ilowell, ioi teu years past a miseionary to the liawaiian Islands, oí a fine collection oí lava from the eraption of 1880, oí tha volcaco o) Mauoa Loa, aud shells, etc., trom various islands ot the Pacific, gathered during her rtaldence there. The following letter bas also been reoeived by Waj. Harter, the curator, irom a man wbo evidtctly thinks he has loand a wonder: Clachen Towhship, 0EMAW L'O., 1ÍIH. Dub Síb- Ihavefound the head oí some unknown animal, it is petrified and is a great wonder to all that have seen it.
