A dispatch from Topeka, Kansas, dated Julj 9, says The sheriff of Kingman states that news has been reeeived thatNescatunga, a little town of 150 people is in the possession of the Indian3, and that Coldwater, soine miles further west, is surrounded by them. The sheriff says these reports may be scnsational, but he requests Gov. Martin to send arms so that they may be prepared. The governor has ordered the military companie at Larned, Winlield, Wellington and Sterling to be ready to move at a moment's notice, and has directed the sheriff of Finney county and mayor of Dodge City to organize forces and send runners to notify settler. Gen. Augur telegraphs Gov. Martin that he has no Information from Fort Reno of an outbreak there, but he has ordered three companies of cavalry to Barbour county. The general superintendent of the Topeka & Santa Fe railroad has been directed by the quartermaster, Gillis, at Fort Leavenworth, to send cars to Fort Riley at onre to transport troops south. A f oree" of men was at work at the arsenal here most of last night getting state arms ready for shipment. A report comes from I'ratt Center that a large number of settlers had arrived there, fleeing from the Indinns, who were reporte.u moving north. They also report the mussacr of a family named Sehofield on Spring creek. Great excitement prevails.
