The elowing sun Is ridln? high Am d tbc arches of the sky, The flreomy air lies st 11, No sound disluibs the leafy glade Savetliat by busy wi'Odbül made Up som e ancien 1 truuk, decayed - Colín broods o"er vale and uill. In such an hour I love to stray Fr om haunt of toiling men away, 'Mid f rest depths profound; There, lu a Miss of solitude, Where uo dull cares of earth fntrude, And Nature breathpj sweet quletude- The grand old trees nround - The heart by dally cues oppressed, The weaned splr.t rindelh ïest, As, plllowed on the sod, With nouglit above but leal and sky. And loving look of Heaveuly Eye, Perchauce with angels hoverlug nigh, I droam of Natuiv's God.
