The recent and sudden death of Hon Emory A. Storrs, Gen. McCIellnn, Hon ïhos. A. Hendricks, Wm. H. Vanderbel and many other prominent men, of Bup posed heart disease, brmgs the subjec of sudden . eath very forcibly before the community. When any man or woman dies ■without warning it has commonl; been called heart disease. Suoh a Ihinj is absurd. More men die from the suddeu breaking down of life force in one week than die from heart disease in one year. And the army of those who do not die, but who sufler on and to whom life is a burden, is still greater. Toshow our readers how true this is, we haye col lected the following facis: Mr. A. P. Hathaway, of the firm of Hathaway & Woods, 24 Commerce street, one of the best known firms in Boston said: "I have feit a terrible depression of spirits during ïhe past summer, due, possibly, to the very hot weather we have had. At times it seemcd almost as though I must give up altogether. Knowing that the most sudden deaths come when the body is in this condition, I became somewhat alarmed, and sought a_ means of relief. I used Hoptonio, late. and I must say it did wonders. I am not only in perfect health, but more yigorous than before. My wife also tried it and it was equally valuable to her. She says of all the medicines she ever tried for general or special troubles, none were so helpful as Hoptonio." Mr. Thomas Keieher, proprietor of the Hotel Winthrop, has been making sonie radical repairs on his attractive hotel the past summer, and now has one of the flnest and most homelike hotels in New England. The poet Whittier always makes the Winthrop his home when in Boston, and all his mails come there. Mr. Keieher said: "The care and labor incident to remodeling a hotel weighed on me this summer, and at one time I was afraid I should be compelled to give up. Indeed, I was at times nearly crazy. I was very fortúnate. I commenced fortifying myself with Hoptonic, aud the change was wonderful. That medicine was better to me than a Bea voyage. I took no vacation, worked all the time, am in perfect health today and propose to keep so, now that I have , found the way.'' . It was found that a number of the with a similar experience in the iTse of this retnedy. Among the number is Dr. Winslow, chief surgeon of the Boston Navy Yard. This prominent and popular offieer bas used Hoptonic himself and in hisfamilv with nioHt gratifving resulte. Mr. James F. Gay, the well known and popular freight agent of the Boston & Albany railroad, bas experienced the same feehngs of physical depression which are becoming so alarmingly eommon. In speaking of his experience he said : "I consider the iutroduction of Hoptonic one of the greatest blessings New England bas I buy it by the casa and would not be without it if it cost $5 a bot tl e. My sister, who has been an invalid for years, aiid was given up by the doctors bas been restored by its use, and takee it as regularly as she does her food. I wish every man, woman and child could know of the valuable and health-givmg properties of Hoptonic." .Mr. Thomas J. Barry, councellor atlaw,No. 48 Oongress street, whoisvice presideut of the city Democratie committee, in answer to an inquiry, said: "The cares of business and over work greatly reduced me, and I fouud it necessary to assist nature with something reliable. I am happy to say that, after a faithful trial, I have been wonderfully assisted by using Hoptonic. lts properties are certainly most valuable for overworked men or women " Every careful observer and thinker must have been overwhelmed by the increuse of sudden sickness and death which is going on in our midst. It is frightful. To 8ucce8sfully met this bas been the aim of physicians, the solioitude of f riend. The statements which appear above are not f rom unkown sources, but from our best citizens, and unquestionably show the power of the great remedy of which they spenk. Suffering and death will continue, it is true; but both may be postponed, and the wise ones are thoHO who intelligently use the best and most approved means of avoiding their approach. - Boston Evening Record. In addition to the above we publish the following testimoniáis from parties in New York, Grand Bapids and Aun Arbor. The American Express Co., August 18, 1885, delivered to the Rev.
