The Democrat is informed that James D. Batemar, Laq., of Walled Lake, ht) started nu euterprise that proimses to bring nntold wealth to both Mr. Bate man, and whomsoever may take advau tuge of his liberal oll'er. So we are not surprised a the colossal proportions whicü Mr. B pronrses for tbis new enterprise. .Mr. Bateman, by skillful and dexterous manipulation, crosding and re-crossing different varieties of hens has at length been able to produce a breed of chickens that may be cousidered marvelous, if not truly wonderful. The eggs of above cliijkens Air. B. proposes to sed at ten dollars eaeh, cash down. or approved security. Not to xceed six eggs will be sold to any one person betweeu now aad the close of the summer of 188(5, and in no case during the penod meutioned are any of the eggs to be sold to auy person living outside of Oakland count . The name which Mr. Bateman has given to tuis ntw feathered bipod is 'Muffletegoinee " In connection with the f ore going venture, Mr. B. promises to give his personal bond in the sum of one 'iimdred thousand dollars in which he will bind himself to give ene hundred dollars for each of the chickens hatched from the above uamed eggs, when they shall have attained the age four months; and furthermore, Mr. B. also proposes to bind himself, as above, that the average weight of each chicken at the age above meutioned will be at least forty p'unds. Orders for above egga, with cash remittance for the same, can be sent to Mr. Bateraan by mail or othorwise (Suudays excepted) t any time within a period of six months from date. Any person desinng time on above, must consult .Mr. B. in person. To accommodate i those who preier to deal in grain, he will I receive orders for Bohemtan oats ai ten dollars per bushel, and bonded wheat and barley at fifteen dollars per bushel.
