The Toronto Mail priuting office wa damaged by fire the other night to the extent of $80,000. Flanies were first observed issuing from windows on the second floor, which is occupied by Alexander & Cable, lithographcrs, and tne fire quickly spread to the editorial and composingoccupied by the Mail job printing company, completely destroying the type owned by the company. Alexander & Cable suffer total loss of stock and machinery. The type in the Mcü office was badly damaged,Dut enough was ieft. so that the paper was issued the next moi-uing as usual.
