Firing On Our Flag
The American fiag was fired on the other day by anarchiste as it was flyiug over a prqcession in the northwestern part of Chicago. The flag was carried by a progiven by uneiNorwegmu síu.,,,.lm. ac one point, where the skïewalks were crowded with people, men in the crowd suddenly drew their revolvers and fired directly at the flag. Six bullets went through it. Emil Nelson was hit in the neck bv a spent ball, which inflicted a slight flesh wound. The marching Norwogians started on a doublé quick, holding the stars and strvpes proudly aloft. Several bullets whizzed past them and they wore much alarmed, iearing another riot like the hay market. There wore no pólice in sight. The processlon made a rapid march to the park in Jelferson. There the affair was reported to the pólice.
