Judge Vagoner of the criminal court of St. Louis, has overruled the motion made recently by Maxwell's attorneys for a new trial. As soon as the prisoner shall have been sentenced an appenl will be takeu to the suprenie court. Jf tliis shall prove unsuccessful the caso will be taken to the United States court on the ground that the state law whlch allows the proseeution more challenges of jurors than the defense ia unconstitutional.
