The Britisb parliament reconvened on the I9th iust. The Queen's speech was L. read, but contained no recomivendations. Lord Randolph ("hurchill gave an outline of tho policy of tho government on the Irish qaesiian, hriclly stnted as follows: That tho ut diet of the country in favor of maintaining the union must be taken as final, and that tho conservativa policy has 1 11 barcd on that verdict, and that the government, will stand or fall by it. A meeting was held in the evening at which (jladstone presidod, and re-amrmed his eonvictions regarding the liberal government's Irish polioy. A meeting of the Parnellite nsembert was held in the House of Commons bef ore the meeting of that body. Air, Parnell presided. Öeventy members were-present. United Ireland of Dublin (Mr. Farneirs organ), reitérales the declaration that there will be war to theknifo against Lord Salisbury. The people of Ireland. it says, will resist him with a dcsperation and skill that have never before been displayed. 'f he meetiug deeided to discus-; lii-li alïairs, and especially the Belfast riots during the debate in the House of Comxnons on the reply to the Queen's speech, and also to endeavor to learn the intentior.s of the government in regard to Ireland.
