The bureau oL labor statistics expects to fjct its second animal report out by the time congress meets. Agents are hurd at work in the field now colleting matorial. ïwo subjects will be treated in the report. One is the question of couvict labor. AU obtainable information on tliissubject will bo collected and put in this report together with the conclusions as to the part convict labor renlly plays in the labor problem. The other subject to be treated il strikes. A complete history of strikes trom 1S80 up to July of tliis year will ba given, inoluding tueir causès, tlieir purpose and their effect upon the labor of the country. This will cover the k round gone over by tlie Cuitin comniittee and the full report will prbbably be in print long beíore the report of that comniittee is ready.
