A sensational turn lia been c;iven to the assasination in Sioux City, Iowa, ou Aug. 3d last, of Kev. Georpe C. Haddock, the vell-known Presbyterian minister and Êrohibitlon champiou, by the surrender of [. L. Iuavitt, manager oL the Standard Theatre of Sumx City, who has been indioted by the coronor's jury of that city for conspiraey and complicity in tho crime. It is understood that lio is fully acquainted with the assassination plot in all its details, and while not knowing who actually performed the deed has knqwledgo of tho party to whom it was assigned for exeeution. Leavitt declines to talk fully pending his appearaucu in court, hut it is generally beliovod that while he is nat the murderer, he will inake important and startling diselosures.
