Crow, tor Washtenaw county is entitled to the broom. To-day she is the banner democratie couuty in Michigan. Not a republican ia elected on the ticket, the demócrata makinsr a clean sweep (rom senator down to coroners. And by such majoritiee, great heavens! all the way from 1,000 to 1,400. The following tire the lucky ones : Jas. Gonnan, state senator ; Capt. Manly and L. P. Harper, represen tatives; Wm. Walsh, sheriff; F. A. Howlett, clerk; Jas. Kearua, register; F. H. Belser, treaaurer; E. B. Norria, prosecutor; Frank Joslyn and P. MoKeman, oommissioners ; O. C. Jeukins and Martin Clark, coronara, and C. S. Woodard, surveyor. Theke wa an eleotion Tuesday, and ït was decidedly mixed. The F ree Press Wednesday moroing claimed the election of Yaple, dem. for governor, and the Tribune was positivo that I.uce was eleoted. Very little satisfaction coold be derived by either party f rom the reporta published, and, of course, it was necessary to await f urther and later returns. In Washtenaw the re was no gaeea work about it, for the way the majorities bad been rolled up for the democratie ticket, proved that oíd Washtenaw liad mantained her repntation as one of the banner democratie countiee of Michigan. It was conceded that Yaple would run ahead of bis ticket, and that Capt Allen who is a resident of Washtenaw and quite as popular as L. H. Salsbury, would poll oonsiderably more than hia party vote. The big fight was on representativos, and the republicana shelled out the dollars by the handfuls, but it was no go. Manly and Harper each made a gallant fight and won, and their opponenU went down in the general wreek tbut folio wed the republican county ticket
