Dr. Willinra Ferry, the oldest „virson in Exeter, N. H., and the oldest gradúate of Harvard college, died on the llth inst, aged SB years. lle was the sole nurvivor of KI" passengers on Fulton's flrst steamboat rMe down the Hudson river seventy-nine years ago. He was bom in Norton, Mass., in 1788, and was a meinber of the class of 1811 in Harvard. Theonlv survivingmember of that class is William R. Sever of Plymouth, Masa. Dr. Perry was one of the most successful and skillful pbysicians of his day in New Hampshire, with a special knowiedge of insanity. He was grandfather to Sarah Ome Jewett, the authoress. Heieaves two son9, one of whom is a ! ticing physieian in Exeter, and the other, ! John T. Ferry, until i lew years ago i neeted with the Cinoinnati (ïawiis, who ia now eugagad in literary pursuits.
