From the Chicago News. Master StuArt Rohson Crane, the five-year-okl son of the popular I dian, is evidently a precocious youth. At a matinee in St. Louis recently he was verymuch interested in the nppearance of a fashionably dressed beau who lolled lazily into tho theater and meandered with a mincmg goose tread down the aisle of the parquet. "Oh, mamma - look - ser qulck! Wliat's dat?" eagerly asked Master Crane, poking violently at his mother and pointins the other chubby hand at the noble stranger. Mrs. Crane answered: "What's that? Why, that's a dude, niydear." "A dude! What's a dude mamma? Who made a dude, riianiiiia?' inquired the child, his big blue eyes wid open and his little mouch asape. "Why, God, of coursc - God made the dude, Robby," said Mrs. Crane, quietly. Tho little íellow reniained eilent a few moments, lookins intently all the while at tha dude. Then he tuined to hia mother and said in a conhdential tone: "Say, mamma, Dod hkes to hav fun sometimes, doesn't ho?"
