Davis Speaks
The ceremonies incident to the unveiling of the Btatue to Gen. Albert Sidney Johnson, on the tomb of the benevolent aseociatlon of the army of the Tenessee, in Metaire cemetery, New Orleans, took place on the 6th inst. There was an immense assemblage of people present, probably over 10,000. The veteran associations, including grand army posts, attended in a body. Jeff. Pavis was the principal speaker of the occasion, and paid a gl owing eulogy to the soldier whom he lovcd. I'resident Cleveland was invited but sent "regrot s. "
