H. Lowden, Augusta; Frank Johnson, Bridgewater ; Thos. Uolaa, üexter; Matthew Sohaible, Freedom; Jerome L. Parker, Lima; Miohael Eagan, Lodi; P. 'W. Watts, Lyndon; O wen Scully, Manchester; Jas. Secretary Bayard is much more approaohable than when he was senator. Seoretary Whitney is the politician of th cabinet now that secretary Manning baa retired. Garland now has a large number of callers in his gorgeous office and tries to make them feel at home. Fairohild is as accussible as a thousand-dollar olerk in the department, and tlie same is true of Vilas. Secretary Lamar locks himself in his office about the time the magazines come out, and it is then rather ditficult to get at him. Endicott has a doublé guard of servants to keep the publio away f rom him.
