Character Of Hired Help
This is the time for employing farm help, and farmers would do well to consider the importance of good moral chnracter. Rough, profane and vicions men cannot fail to taint the moráis and manners of theyouni. Even for the sake of nis stock and property a careful man will not wish about his premises a vicious or intempérate man. Such an one will destroy more than the valuo of his wages. The Christian character which makes a man trustworthy and eareful ot the interests of hisemployer is valuable on the farm as he is everywhere else. "üodliness is profitable for all things." But it is worth while to carefnlly distinguish from this a certain mild-mannerdness that hasno backbone and is the result of physical j incapacity or laziness rather than of I principie. It is rather too much to ! expect all the cardinal virtues for $15 or 20 a month, but parents should insist that help they hire should not be of a character to contamínate their children.
