The boiler on the elevator in Unntiugton, W. Va., exploded the other morutng, instantly kilüng three men and wonnding half a dozen others. The engine was run by an oíd locomotivo boiler that had been condcinned olï the Cbesapoako & Oliio roail, and the engineer was inexperienced. The elevator was the property of the Chesapeake & Ohio corapany and ia completely wrecked. Several box can which were waltlng to bc loaled aud barga Philo, full of corn, are damaged. The boiler In the Bltchcooh nianufiictnring works at Cortland, N. Y., explnUcd the othei morning, burylng at least throe men in the debris. Cllfford Fuller waa dangeronsly injuredand Frank Seott's head was onished. Scott cannot live. II. A. Webster 's body was taken froni the mina badly mutillated. Life was extinct. W. P. Ballard and a man iiamel Couch wuro seriously injured. Tho cause of the cxioiïor ís unknown.
