( If uil tho days of the uuiversity jul ilee' alumni day, June 'J!i, was the one which w itnessed tho grentest crowd ever seen in the "Athons of America," and the one to whieh all the friends of the university iooked most eagerly. On this day ocu ried tho reunión of a large number of classes, at the close of the general exerrM-s. Prof. Sill of the normal delivered nn address on behalf of the teachers of the state, followed by Hon. Austin Blair on behalf of the regents of the university. Justice Miller of th United States suprerne court, delivered the addrcss to the law class and alumni, and Senator Palmer spoke ln'lur theliterary departnmiit on the relation of educated men to the state. Charles W. Noble, president of the alumni B880ciatlon, delivered an oration before the association, and President Angelí' Hou. Thomas M. Cooley, Prof. Estabrook, superintendent of public iustructlon, an;l other distinguished men added to the pleasure of a day never to be forgotten.
